Veterinary Surgeons
The practice was established in 2011 by veterinary surgeon Liz Mursell MRCVS & she was joined in 2012 by colleague Emma Jones MRCVS.
Both Liz & Emma are experienced equine vets who graduated in 2003 & have worked in equine practices & hospitals in the UK, Australia & the Middle-East.
Establishing Eden Equine Fertility has enabled Liz & Emma to focus on their great interest in equine reproduction. They now dedicate their time to the mares, stallions & foals in their care.
Clients can be confident that Liz & Emma maintain up-to-date knowledge & skills through further study, spending time with other leading veterinary surgeons & attending conferences. They work closely with Cheshire Equine Clinic who focus on providing high quality treatments in a wide range of areas including orthopaedic care, sports medicine & surgery. This association means their expertise in areas outside reproduction is readily available to our clients should it be required.
From 2009 -2018 Eden also provided the veterinary services for Al Muawd Arabian Stud in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
At Al Muawd they set up a veterinary & breeding clinic for the 120 top class show horses in their care with responsibility for mare, foal, young stock & stallion management.
Much of the breeding was done by frozen semen artificial insemination. They also ran the embryo transfer program & had access to the latest equipment for freezing semen. This fantastic opportunity has given them extensive, invaluable experience in stallion management & semen collection, handling, analysis & freezing.
